まだ梅雨明けが発表されていないのに、今週はほとんど雨が降っていなくて、しかも大変暑かった。
Despite no announcements the rainy season has finished, it’s hardly rained at all this week and on top of that it’s been extremely hot.

特に火・水は30度後半で、この猛暑でベリーの多くは焼けてしまった。
In particular, Tuesday and Wednesday were in the late thirties, and this oppressive heat has burned a lot of the berries.

残念ながら、この被害は毎年起きて、完全に防ぐよりもどうやって抑えるかだけの問題だ。
Unfortunately, this problem occurs every year and it’s simply a question of controlling it rather than completely stopping it.

とはいうものの、最近雨が降っていない分で、今日は雨がザーと降っていた。

暑さや湿度、多量の雨などの問題にもかかわらず、これから摘み取りしなければならないベリーはいっぱいある。
Still, there’s masses of berries to be picked despite problems like heat, humidity and too much rain.
