今日は暑かった！温度が28度まであがった。
Boiling hot today! Temperature peaked at 28 degrees !

畑がからからに乾いたから、毎朝ウォータータンクで100kg分の水を畑に持って行き、小さい如雨露で水やりしています。相当に非能率的なやり方で、すごい時間の無駄！ためた雨水を活用した点滴灌漑システムの整備が将来のチャレンジ。
Field is bone dry so having to bring 100kg of water every morning and then water the plants with a little watering can! Massively inefficient and huge waste of time! My future project is to build a drip-irrigation system that uses rainwater.

まだ小さいけど、去年の11月に植えたラズベリーの苗木が茂ってきた。
Still small but the raspberry plants planted last November are getting bushier.

ブラックベリーのほうですけど、去年あの粘土質の泥に植えた木が思っていたよりも大きく成長してきた。来年実を結ぶ1年枝（専門用語：プライモケーン）もどんどん出てきている。収穫量も多いと良いね。
Turning to the blackberries, the new bushes planted in that clay soil last year have grown a lot better than I thought. Lots of new shoots (technical term: primocanes) are emerging as well. Hopefully, have a decent yield.

The flowers are now blooming on the earliest-fruiting variety’s bushes and they’ll soon be at full-bloom.
収穫が一番早い品種の木は花が咲いていて、満開に近づいてきている。

今年もたくさんのハチが飛びまわっている。花は香りがいいから、ハチが寄ってくるかも？
Lots of bees around again this year. Flowers are very fragrant, which may draw them in?
