Discovered the first buds of this year. The below photo was taken about a week ago, so I think it’s early this year.

これが実になって取れる状態になるのに２か月ぐらいかかる。
This won’t be ready to pick for about 2 months.

まあ、それが暑さ、湿度、梅雨、害虫などを乗り越えたらね！幸い、ブラックベリーの木がたくさんの実を結ぶから、20%ぐらいの「犠牲者」には耐えれる。
That is if is survives the heat, humidity, rainy season, bugs etc.! Luckily the bushes produce a lot of fruit so we sustain about 20% ‘casualties”.

Picked the first rhubarb this year.
今年で初のルバーブの収穫もあった。
