タイトルの通り、今日は温度が２１度まで昇った。
As the title says, the temperature today rose to 21℃.

新しく植えたラズベリーの根元から新芽が出始めている。
First signs of new shoots emerging from the newly-planted raspberries.

現在は大きいブラックベリー木の剪定をしている。これは細い茎を間引きしたり、残っている茎を１ｍぐらいの高さに切って短くしたりする作業を含む。
I’m currently trimming the older blackberry bushes, which includes weeding out the thinner canes and cutting back the remaining ones to a height of about 1m.

今年から新しい畑を借りることになった。元々は梨の果樹園だったけれど、地主さんは年をとって手入れできなくなったから、貸してくれた。梨の木の根っこがまだ残っているけど、明日から発根の作業が始まるそうだ。400坪ぐらいの面積で、なかなか広い土地だ。持ち主さんにとても感謝で、この貴重な土地で何かいいことができるといいね。
I will be taking on a new field from this year. It used to be a pear orchard but the owner is too old to maintain it now. The pear tree stumps are still there but they should be getting removed tomorrow. It’s a fairly large piece of land, about 1,300 square meters. I’m very grateful to the owner and hope I can do something good with this precious land.
