最近、更新がなくてすみません！仕事が忙しくて、天気もひどいから。
Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Busy at work and the weather has been awful.

さて、選定は3週間前ぐらい完成させ、雪吊りも先週末で終わった。
Well, I finished the pruning about 3 weeks ago and the yuki-zuri (placing ropes or wires around trees to protect them from the snow) work was finished last weekend.

下の写真のように、ジャングルがなくなり、木を見分けることができる。
As you can see in the below photo, the jungle has gone and you can actually tell the bushes apart now.

雪吊りは、3本の頑丈な竿竹に木を硬く縛って支える。このやり方で去年木をうまく支えたし、強い風が多い日の春が終わるまで、そのままにしておいた。
For the yuki-zuri, I support the plants by tying them tightly to 3 sturdy bamboo poles. It worked very well last year, and I kept them tied up until after the windy spring season.

雪が来る前の、残っている仕事はあまりない。もし時間があれば、堆肥をやりたい。その為、2000円だけで下の山のような牛糞堆肥を買った（約25ドル、15ポンド）。
Not many jobs left before the snow comes. Maybe give them some manure if I get time. I bought this huge pile of cow dung manure last week for 2,000 yen (about $25 or 15 UK pounds for 1 ton).

再来週は新しいラズベリーの苗を植える予定。ブラックベリーよりも育てにくいから、うまく育つと良いな！
I plan to plant some new raspberry plants next. Raspberries are a bit more difficult to grow than blackberries so hope it goes well.
