ブラックベリー木の片づけや剪定を始めているけど、最近、天気がひどく、フルタイムの仕事も忙しいから、進歩が遅い。
Started tidying up and trimming the blackberry trees, but the weather has been awful recently and I’ve been busy at work so progress is slow.

土曜日の午後から畑へ行って、3時間の苦労の結果、片づけは2本の木しかできなかった！管理している木はなんと60本あるよ！:(
I went to the field on Saturday afternoon and after 3 hours, I only managed to finish 2 bushes! I have 60 in total!:(

以下にある例の木の写真を見れば、片づけは何でそんな時間がかかるか分かる。生い茂っていて、どちらがどちらか分からないほどだ。
The photo below of the 2 plants in question shows you why tidying-them up takes so long. They’re so overgrown, it’s impossible to know which is which!

Found a bird nest inside! Blimey! This was a bit of a shock.
鳥の巣があった。すごい！びっくりした。

それは「ビフォア」の写真。「アフター」はこれだ。すっきりしたでしょう？
That was the ‘before’ photo…here’s the ‘after’.Vast improvement, eh?

これはその無駄。
This is the waste.

だが、無駄ではない。この珍妙な機械を使って、それをウッドチップにする。機械は中国製で、めっちゃやかましいけど、その分すごい安かった。まあ、こういう機械にしては安かった！
But, it isn’t waste. I turn it into wood chip for my compost heap using this contraption. It’s made in China, very noisy but very cheap. Well, cheap for this type of machine!

でも、以下の写真のとおり、結構効果的だ。
As you can see in the photo, it’s pretty effective, though.
