４月下旬以降、25℃の暑い日々が続いたけれど、一か月前は雪がまだ降っていたのが信じられないね。
We’ve had really hot weather, getting up to 25 degrees, since late April. Hard to believe it was still snowing a month ago.

新しく植えた木はどんどん大きくなり、その一部は新しいシュートが出てきている（専門的な名称: 一年枝）。
The new plants are growing steadily and some are sending up new shoots (technical name: primocanes).

一方、数年前植えた木は花が咲いてきた。この品種は６月中旬・下旬ごろから実がなり、他の品種よりも早い。花はけっこう大きいから、木が満開になったら、なかなかきれい。
Meanwhile, the older plants have started to flower. This variety fruits early, from about mid- to late June. The flowers are fairly large, so the bushes can look quite pretty when in full bloom.

他のでかい木は少しずつジャングル化されてきている。あまりにもジャングルになって、2本の木を見分けられなくなるのがもう時間の問題だ。
The other larger bushes are slowly getting into jungle mode. Won’t be long before it will be hard to distinguish between them.
